Hey guys!
Remember my front porch dresser from a few weeks ago? Well, I finished it! Again...
We went to Midland for July 4th weekend, and got this great idea! Our good friends like to refinish furniture too, and my awesome friend Ashley had done this "stained finish" technique on a few pieces that I just loved! So, when we got home, I decided to get brave and try it on my dresser!
Wanna see it?!

Wanna see it?!
I love it!
Here's how I did it...
I took an old t-shirt, and cut it into pieces to use as rags. I took 2 pieces and made them both damp.
The first one, I dipped into my stain and wiped it on generously. Then, I used the second rag to "wipe it off." Now, I was doing this outside in 100 degree heat, so it dried very fast! I did small sections at a time to achieve the look I wanted.
If you want less of a stained look, then just very gently put a small amount of stain on the dresser and then wipe off.
Now, a word of caution: you have to rub really hard. I ended up with blisters on three of my fingers. :/
But, I think it was worth it. Blisters heal, right?! :)
Finish it off with a coat of polyurethane and you're good to go!
