In the past month or so, I've been thinking a lot about how we can be more intentional with our kids when it comes to teaching them the bible.
Of course we have had our Jesus Storybook Bible for a long time now, and read them stories pretty often. We try to talk about the bible, about what makes God happy, and how we find our happiness by enjoying life through our relationship with God. But, I just keep thinking about the idea of how to store these things up in their hearts, bind them around their necks Proverbs 6:20-23, so that they won't forget the story of God.
I pray constantly that God would raise up our sons to be men of courage and honor that will glorify Him. I pray that we will see God move mountains through them and their faith. And, that will start in our home.
So, I also pray constantly for wisdom and humility, and that God will cover the huge gaps that we are sure to leave. :)
I say all of that to say, a few weeks ago, we started working on memory verses. While there are many other ways that we, of course, need to be more intentional this is one way that they seem to be enjoying. And, I'm doing some memorizing too! :)
It took us about three weeks to get to this point, but I couldn't be more proud of my lil man!

Colton does a great job, too! He will consistently tell me, "Joshua 1:9 Be strong and courageous...God...where you go." :)
In what ways does your family "be intentional?" I would love your ideas!!!
